We are pleased to offer comprehensive advice on all aspects of the design and planning, and can also take on the complete concept development and submission planning if required.
The production of skate elements for public skateparks is governed by the European standard EN 14974 “Skateparks – Safety requirements and test methods.” Similar to playground equipment, this standard defines safety specifications in line with the German Product Safety Act (ProdSG). Compliance with the ProdSG can only be confirmed through the GS mark (Tested Safety).
To obtain GS certification, manufacturers must undergo a type examination and are subject to regular production monitoring by an accredited certification body.
Our skate elements are manufactured in accordance with DIN EN 14974, TÜV-certified, and bear the GS mark (Tested Safety) as required by the German Product Safety Act. In addition, TÜV PRODUCT SERVICE conducts regular inspections of our manufacturing facilities to ensure consistent and flawless production quality, following the testing and certification regulations.
Please note that most manufacturers do not possess certification for their skate elements and only provide a (TÜV or DEKRA) test report for completed skatepark installations. However, such a report does not constitute certification of the individual skate elements, nor does it authorize the use of the GS mark.
Properly TÜV-certified skate elements are identified by a TÜV product label and are listed in an official TÜV certificate. Each TÜV certificate includes a unique serial number, an expiration date, and a detailed listing of all certified elements, including their exact product designations as shown on the TÜV label.
For your safety, we recommend verifying whether products from other suppliers are TÜV-certified and bear the GS mark. (Please refer to our enclosed certificate for your reference.)
